A Dance

.

This is a friend, one whom I've only ever seen in three states: dancing, laughing, or assisting others.

.

I think it's rare these days to have a soul with that kind of lightness. How many people really ever have the freedom to just be? It's so easy to get weighed down by things in the world, to be tangled in misunderstanding, or to think one's happiness is at the discretion of another. But truthfully, everything you need you already have.

.

There are so many wonderful qualities possessed by this particular friend, but the one I think I might admire most is her enthusiasm to just dance. It doesn't matter what anyone else in the room is doing, even if they're all just sitting, she will be up dancing without a care in the world. And I think there's so much to learn from that.

Tomorrow, I'll be posting my interview with Joe Purdy on his artistic vision and thoughts on creativity.
